Mr. Cherry, (Mrs. Berkeley’s Press Secretary)

Regarding: What happened to Shop.com, the White House and the Super Bowl Commercials in 2002-2003. Supporting documents of historical record with references to Shelley Berkeley are here:

I was given your email as a contact about a situation I had with Shop.com in Las Vegas, Sept. 11th-2001 through 9/2002 that involved running Super Bowl Commercials for Shop.com Feb 3rd 2002.  We had two conversations with Mrs. Berkeley in late 2001, where she gave us the White House contact Helen Mobley's fax number to send two proposals to President Bush about "getting the country shopping and traveling again" and letting Shop.com use the quote he used at Ground Zero (that we gave him) "It's American's Patriotic Duty to Shop"...on the upcoming Super Bowl. I and Shop.com Inc get a letter in Dec. 2001 from Andy Card (White House Chief of Staff), who we spoke with twice in November 2001 telling us that "the White House doesn't do sponsorships or endorsements" or "anything like this"... In Feb 2002, CNN, Routers etc. reports "the White House is going to spend the most amount of money in the history of the White House on Two Super Bowl commercials for a total $3-$4.8M.  The White House Office of National Drug Control Policy and Andy Card decided to run thier own Super Bowl commercials; which was the first time that these commercials aired that told the American Public, "if you use drugs, you support Terrorism"...

How I can help get Las Vegas related advertisers on the Super Bowl:

I also spoke with Governor Goodwin of Nevada, the ad agency for Las Vegas and their TV director about putting a short clip of a Las Vegas hotel, such as Wynn, on our Shop.com Comparison shopping site Super Bowl Commercials; that would also mention our client Hotwire as our travel merchant on the website and get it through editorial approval for the Super Bowl since it's just comparison shopping, not Gambling, Sex or Political; reasons for rejection of the AD by the NFL or FOX.  The next year, the city of Las Vegas tries to do their own Super Bowl commercials, and they get rejected by the NFL.

I am on a project on my new comparison shopping site shopXLIV.com that will make Super Bowl XLIV Commercials this year. I wanted Mrs. Berkeley to be informed about the previous situations and about how we can work to get Las Vegas mentioned on the Super Bowl this year.

Thanks so much.
